Septarian nodule pendant

£165.00

A simple pendant featuring a perfectly selected cross section of a septarian nodule.
Formed over 50 million years ago, they were created by bubbles of mud that fossilised / crystallised - with calcite, aragonite and limestone. This piece has what I see as a little dancing dragon frozen in time, which is very apt as it is sometimes called Dragon Stone. Note how I’ve cut out an echo of the shape in the back of the setting

Set in sterling silver, which has a little oxidisation and a brushed finish. The pendant measures 2 cm wide and just over 4 cm length ( including the loop ), and the sterling curb chain measures 52 cm / 20 inch.

Hallmarked as sterling at London Assay Office.
