Labradorite and silver pendant

Flashes of blue and green set this beautiful labradorite pendant off against dark and moody oxidised sterling silver. The rectangular pendant has been set in a custom silver backing, with a brushed finish to contrast the shiny surface of the stone. The London Assay hallmark can be seen at the back of the pendant - highlighted by the oxidised patina on the surface of the metal.

Claimed by some to energise the mind and aid creativity, labradorite can also be used as a 'barrier' filter, keeping negative energy away, allowing us to see the beauty in life and the good in others. Inuit legend tell us that labradorite echoed the shimmer of the Northern lights, with its flashes of blues ,greens and golds the likeness is obvious.

The pendant has a large open loop at the top, allowing for freedom of movement along the chain and so that it faces forward when worn. The pendant loop has a hammered texture, little lines as further contrast to the smooth stone.

The sturdy sterling silver chain in also oxidised, and measures 20 inches in length, so as to make a feature of the large gemstone pendant with its electric colours that flash in and out of the light.
