A sweet little pendant, a 5 pointed star, in sterling silver. There is a little emerald set at the front and one of a similar size at the back . 
There are many beliefs attached to stars, a symbol of hope and protection, a representation of the female goddesses Venus and Ishtar, and,  if with 5 points - each point refers to the human body - the top being the head , the sides being outstretched arms and hands and the bottom two, legs and feet .

The pendant measures 2.5 cm across and is solid sterling silver, this one has an antique patina to highlight the delicate surface pattern and details.

The pendant  has been hallmarked at London Assay Office where I am professionally registered.

The pendant is suspended from a sterling silver diamond cut belcher chain ( so has a little sparkle ) and measures 24 inches / 60 cm.
